President

Operationally the business is headed by president and second generation owner, Mike McClintock.  Mike has been involved with the business full time for 38 years and assumed the position of president in 1993.  His resume includes an Associate of Applied Science degree from the University of Akron in Electronic Technology and 15 years in the field as a journeyman electrician.  Additionally Mike holds State licenses as a certified Electrical Contractor and Certified Fire Alarm installation Contractor.

In 2013, McClintock Electric, Inc. celebrated 50 years of business in the Electrical Construction industry.  When Ralph McClintock started his business John Fitzgerald Kennedy was our nations President, Neil Armstrong was six years away from his historic moon walk and the Internet had not yet been born.  Needless to say, the times have changed dramatically both with our country and with McClintock Electric.  What started as a small two man residential wiring operation has evolved into an operation that averages 45 – 50 employees with an emphasis on industrial/commercial electrical and technology work.  Although he retired over 15 years ago, Ralph still comes into work at McClintock 3-4 days a week.  He picks-up and delivers tools and material, and has become an invaluable self-titled “professional gopher”.

Rick Westfall

Rick Westfall

Electrical Operations Manager

Rick worked for his fathers tree trimming company prior to coming to McClintock Electric; however, since 2000 he has been an electrician with the company.  He successfully completed 4 years of classroom training at ABC (Associated Builders Contractors).  He has also completed his On the Job Training hours and is a registered Journeyman Electrician. He has a 30 Hour OSHA certificate and he is CPR certified.  Rick spent a week in Honduras volunteering with CAMO at their gym and the Hospital de Occidente.  Rick’s expertise makes him uniquely qualified to assume the responsibilities that are associated with projects of this nature and much more here at McClintock Electric.

Aaron Shields

Project Manager/Estimator

Before assuming this role, Aaron spent 10 years in the field. During that period he successfully completed 4 years of classroom training with ABC (Associate Builders Contractors).  He has completed his On the Job Training hours to become a registered Journeyman Electrician.  Aaron also represented the NE Ohio Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors in the 2004 Craft Olympics in San Diego.  This is an event that pits the best Journeyman Electricians in the country against each other in a contest that tests their hands on skill and overall knowledge of the trade.  Aaron’s expertise makes him uniquely qualified to assume the responsibilities that are associated with estimating and managing complex construction projects.

Steve Boydston

Project Manager / Estimator

With over 20 years of experience as a Draftsman/Designer, Steve Boydston is the newest member of the McClintock Electric Team.  He is responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals and the preparation of time, cost and labor estimates.   Steve’s experience Drafting for Industrial, Commercial, TeleData and Fire Alarm projects makes him a perfect fit.

Project Manager

Dustin started working for McClintock in 2008 after previously owning a construction business. He started as an apprentice, quickly learning the trade, he then became a journeyman electrician, shortly after he was foreman on projects, then superintendent at one of our largest projects for nearly two years. Now as project manager; Dustin has again taken on a new role. His ability to learn quickly and adapt to new responsibilities has made him a valuable asset to the company.

Estimator

Bob is our newest estimator. Historically, our estimator role has been shared with the project manager position. Due to the increasing demands of producing quick and accurate estimates; Bob has joined our team. Bob was previously a designer for a structural engineering company and has vocational training in CAD/Drafting. When asked what hobbies he enjoyed, Bob gave only one answer…fishing. When he’s not working he’s spending his time on lakes and rivers waiting for the next catch.

Scott Zacharias

Scott Zacharias

Technology Operations Manager

Scott manages a department that has helped set McClintock apart from most other Electrical Contractors. His technical expertise has allowed the company to branch into many technology disciplines such as VoIP Phone systems, IP camera systems, Card access systems, Fiber Optic and Copper network cabling systems, Paging systems and Audio/Video systems.  Scott has also achieved the professional designation of Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).  Those awarded with the RCDD designation have demonstrated their knowledge in the design, implementation and integration of information technology systems and related infrastructure.  Scott has traveled to Honduras about 12 times, sometimes with family in tow, but always to assist with CAMO.  He installed communication, camera and networking systems for CAMO headquarters, the Women’s Shelter and the Hospital do Occidente.

Technical Account Manager

Nicole has been a member of the McClintock Electric Team since 2013 due to the rise in technology based needs. When you call us with a voice, data or security request, Nicole should be the first person you contact. She will guide you through the correct channels to make sure you get the quickest and best service by one of our friendly technicians. Nicole has a CIS (Computer Information Systems) Micro-computer degree and brings 8 years Electrical Contracting experience, as well as 10 years of Project Management.

Phone System Project Manager

Being a member of the McClintock Team since 1997, Shaun is an asset to our Technology Department.  His skills in both phone system installation and networking makes him uniquely qualified to assume responsibilities in our fast-growing technology field.  Shaun is certified by Net Plus and also by Samsung Communications America in over 12 areas.  Along with multiple other certificates, classes and training, his diverse expertise with our technologies makes him an integral part of our Technology staff.

Aaron has been with the company since 2002.  His expertise is in the area of Surveillance Cameras for our Technology Department; however, Aaron is a Jack-of-all-Trades.  He is a skilled technician with our Voice and Data Systems, Access Control Systems as well as Audio and Video Systems.

Our technology field employees are continually asked to solve challenging situations they encounter on our jobs. Each time they are presented with an obstacle, they find a creative solution that helps keep a project on-time and on-budget. Our technology team has varying levels of experience with some employees being in the industry for 20+ years. This team enjoys the challenges that the technology industry brings and through training and experience are able overcome some of the toughest tasks.

A company is only as strong as its finances. Connie’s understanding of the unique aspects of Construction Accounting makes her an invaluable part of the team.  Connie brings to the table over six years of Construction Accounting experience and a dual degree in Accounting and Tax.

Darlene has a Diploma in Executive Secretarial.  She formerly held a license as a Customer Broker for 22 years.  She has dual citizenship being born in Canada and in January 2013, she became a Citizen of the United States.  Affectionately known as “D1” and “D2” these two women (Darlene Leeder and Darlene Blum) are the backbone of the accounting department and then some. Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, preparing Quote Letters, Assisting the Controller and various other administrative duties are all tasks they do and they do very well.

Darlene has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Computer Programing.  She was her High School’s Valedictorian and brings with her 30 years’ experience as a Controller.  Affectionately known as “D1” and “D2” these two women (Darlene Leeder and Darlene Blum) are the backbone of the accounting department and then some. Purchasing / Warehouse Manager

In a typical week, McClintock Electric supports 30 to 40 field personnel with tools, equipment and material.  Managing the flow of these items is critical to the success of all projects.   With over 16 years in construction and being with the company since 2005, Misty knows what to do and how to do it. Additionally Misty manages the maintenance and repair of over twenty fleet vehicles.

Purchasing / Warehouse Manager

Ellie started with our company as an administrative assistant helping out around the office with filing paperwork and other administrative tasks. With two simultaneous large projects going on; our superintendents had a need for an assistant and Ellie was perfect for the role. She worked with superintendents to manage daily job tasks involving materials and invoicing along with many other tasks. As these projects wrapped up another need arose as the purchasing/warehouse manager from our Wooster office. Ellie accepted this role and has been quickly learning from the previous purchasing warehouse manager. Ellie is willing to do whatever needs done and embraces each new role; bringing her own vision for the position.

Before coming to McClintock Electric, Mike was working in the IT field and operating his own web design company. His background is in Computer Information Systems majoring in Cicso and Microsoft. Mike handles all our IT needs including but not limited to server management, network administration, software systems, web design and development as well as digital marketing.
