Here we will talk about the convergence of electrical and technology services and what makes us different than many companies. We’ll show you how we leverage the power of computing and today’s latest software to streamline our processes and keep costs down for you; the client. We’ll discuss our focus on safety for our employees and our clients. You’ll hear about how we continually push our employees to maintain the highest levels of quality and professionalism, and you will learn about our continued commitment to training our employees through in-house and professional education.

What Makes Us Unique?

Colliding Industries

Where Electric Meets Technology

Not just an electrical company, McClintock Electric has been investing in a multitude of emerging technologies since the early 90’s. Our experience in quickly adopting these technologies has uniquely positioned us to be a leader in today’s market.

The lines have began to blur between technology and electrical services. Each are heavily dependent on the other. With our experience and continued research and training on emerging technology, we are able to assist our clients in ways many other companies are unable to do.

How We Use Technology

How We Use Technology

Technology has transformed how we do business. It’s hard to imagine how we got by before email, computers, and smartphones. Technology has became as important of a tool as drills and hammers. We have spent the last several years refining our internal processes and looking for areas where technology can automate some of the manual actions we used to have to do by hand. We are continually refining these processes as we shift to a paperless world.

All of our employees are equipped with smart phones, our supervisors have tablets, and we are in the process of switching all of our Project Managers over to the Microsoft Surface. This shift to mobile technology has allowed our staff to spend less time in the office and more time on-site managing projects. We use a variety of applications and software that help us be more efficient from day-to-day.

Spectrum

Spectrum is our Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) software. Made by Dexter & Chaney, this software is at the center of our company and involved in many tasks such as inventory, job costing, payroll, material mangement and much more. We adopted Spectrum in the late 90s as it was one of the first ERP systems geared specifically toward the construction industry and we have been using the software ever since.

Conest

Over the last decade we have increasingly been involved in bidding projects. In order to efficiently and accurately bid these projects and keep up with the demands of shorter windows to complete bids, we were in search of software to help speed up the process. Conest is an estimating software specifically for the construction industry. The adoption of this software has greatly assisted us with our ability to get bids completed in timely fashion with accurate results.

The Wire

The Wire is an internal website used by our employees to enter their daily time and descriptions of work as well as for other company related tasks such as requesting time off, viewing important company documents and receiving company wide messages. We’ve developed The Wire internally as an alternative for tasks that could not be handled in other software. Rather than change our process to fit software that is unable to accommodate our needs, we are able to mold this software to work for us. As a client, you may have run into The Wire after service work when the technician asked you to sign their smartphone and you receive a work order via email.

Procore

Procore is the newest member to our software family. It is a project management system that allows us to upload/download/view drawings, specifications, project documents, photos, as well as many other tasks. This allows our field employees to accurately and quickly receive and send crucial information related to a project. Not only is this software used for our internal project management, we also provide access & training for our clients. This gives our clients access to drawings and photos of the job-site and other documents not only during the life a project, but at any time in the future.

Quality & Professionalism

Quality & Professionalism

Putting Our Clients First

We put an emphasis on performing quality work in a professional manner. Our project mangers and supervisors serve as Quality Control (QC) on our job sites. By performing a regular walk-through we are able to identify any quality issues early on and address them. In addition to our inspections we’ve created procedures and documentation to ensure uniform quality across your project and across all of our projects.

Along with the attention-to-detail that we stress with every employee, we teach each of our employees to be a representative of our company. We understand that our client’s most frequent interactions are with the employee that is performing the work. By continually training and performing corrective action, we have developed a culture of professionalism that continually leads to positive comments from our clients.

Training

Employee Training

Continual Education

Our industry changes seemingly overnight. In order to keep pace it is critical we continue to train and develop our employees. We provide multiple in-house training opportunities for our employees, from OSHA Training, Drug & Alcohol Free Training, CPR & First Aid, as well as many other trade-specific training classes.

In addition to our in house training, many of our employees attend apprenticeship training as well as specialized training opportunities from our partners such as BISCI, KOHLER, Siemon Cabling, Leviton, and many others. We also often send our office staff to training for our applications such as Dexter Chaney’s user conference and Conest training.
