A big THANK YOU to McClintock Electric, especially Nicole Williams-Hackworth and Scott Zacharias, for their donation of approximately 325 feet of Ethernet cable to the Wayne County Historical Society!
The cable has been ran from the router in the Kister Builder office to the Documents Vault in the basement area of the society.
The cable is connected to a computer in the Documents Vault, allowing it internet access and access to the local network. This will allow volunteers in the Vault to share files with any other computer on the WCHS network, as well as allow them to search the internet for research requests, communicate requests via e-mail, and catalog items in PastPerfect.
Please thank a McClintock employee if you know one or see one around town. This cable is going to serve as a tremendous asset to volunteers in the Documents Vault!
