Phone System Solutions
Digital Vs. VoIP
VoIP Phone Systems
VoIP phone systems carry voice data through a data (internet) connection; therefore, a network drop is required at each location a phone is located. VoIP phones also require an AC power source per phone or can be powered by a converter called a Power Over Ethernet (POE) adapter or by a POE network switch.
Digital Phone Systems
Digital phone systems use traditional phone lines, require a single phone jack and do not require a power source.

I just wanted to thank McClintock Electric and all the guys for their help over the last 31 ½ years. You have been a great company to work with. You have always done what I have asked and more. It’s been a fun trip and I have made a lot of friends at McClintock’s. Thanks again.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What is VoIP?
VoIP is alternative to traditional phone lines that leverages your network to place and receive calls. VoIP relies on your internet connection to carry your phone calls. There are positives and negatives to using VoIP. We would be happy to discuss the differences between VoIP and digital phones with you at our no-cost site visit.
Do I Need To Replace My Current System In Order To Have VoIP Phones?
Not necessarily. For example Samsung 7000 series and above systems will allow VoIP calling with the addition of a card to your phone system. This approach will allow you to replace all of your phones or replace a single phone giving you greater flexibility and reducing immediate costs.
What Is The Difference Between Hosted & In-House Phone Systems?
A hosted system relies 100% on your internet connection. This means if your internet is down so are your phones. An In-House system will continue to work without your internet. Which system you decide to go with depend on the amount of control you want of your systems. Both have similar features but In-House systems provide greater control.
Do you offer service agreements or leasing?
Yes. We offer both service agreements for In-House systems as well as leasing options for businesses that prefer a monthly expense rather than upfront costs.
Do you offer SIP service?
Yes. We are teamed up with Fusion and Sotel to provide SIP lines. We’ll work with a SIP provider and take care of all of the leg work to get your SIP lines up and working.
