Why have a Service Agreement?

In addition to receiving discounted rates on McClintock Electric voice service work, a service agreement provides security and peace of mind by ensuring equipment is operating efficiently, the latest secure software is installed, and data is regularly backed up. Regularly performing these tasks will extend the life of your system and drastically reduce downtime in the event of equipment failure.

Service Agreement Definitions

Help Desk Support

All of our service plans include unlimited telephone technical support on minor issues
and/or questions without a charge. Tech support will attempt to resolve issues with the customer via
telephone support. If issues cannot be resolved, a technician will be dispatched.

Software Upgrades

Our technicians will upgrade your system software to the latest version available one to
two times per year, dependent upon service agreement. Samsung releases new software versions
for maintenance, security updates and feature releases.

Discounts

Equipment – With our service agreement you will receive a percentage discount on new
material purchased for your current phone system. This does not include refurbished or used
material, nor does it apply to any material purchased for other contracts/jobs.
Labor – Additionally, you will receive a discount labor rate on ALL phone related service calls,
discount percentage dependent upon your service agreement plan. Data, Security, & Electrical
services are excluded.

Website Access

Access to our Customer Portal. This portal houses phone system user manuals as well as
five custom video tutorials. Additional features currently under development.

Remote Support

Our technicians can remotely troubleshoot a variety of issues or make minor programming
changes without having to send a technician on site. This service will be received at a discounted
rate under your plan. Standard & Enhanced plans include an allotment of remote support hours
each year.

Datbase Backup

Our technicians will download the database from your phone and voicemail systems one to
two times per year. Massive failure of a phone or voicemail system without a current backup
results in complete reprogramming of the system, which can mean hours to days’ worth of
labor and downtime.

General/Preventative Maintenance

We will send one of our qualified technicians to your location yearly to change damaged
12’ handset cords (handsets not included) as well as inspect the phone system and its cards.
The technician will also check the UPS for the phone system.
The purpose of this service is to assist in the life expectancy of your system. It includes one service
call per year for the purpose of general maintenance, and does not include any service time.
Additional requests will be billed at discounted hourly rates according to your service agreement.

Holiday & After Hours Coverage

Holiday time will be billed at double the discounted hourly rate per selected plan.

After-hours will be billed at one and a half times the discounted hourly rate per selected plan.
